   A Meeting of The Council
was held on Tuesday 18th January 2005 at 7.30pm
at The Conference Centre Arnesby.

(1) Present:- Messrs. Robert Jones(Chairman). Mrs Jenny Lees, & M. N. Bown
(Clerk) Stuart Hurst.
4 parishioners were present and C.C. David Jennings

(2) Apologies:- Apologies received from David Johnson.

(3) Minutes of Meeting Held on 9th November 2004 :- These had been circulated and were read and signed by the Chairman.

(4) Matters Arising:-
(a) HDC had promised to cut the grass on footpath between “The Cottage” and “Sea View”. next year 2005 in the schedule.

(5) Nottingham East Midlands Airport:- The Council had received a letter saying that the problem around Arnesby would not be serious. The expected noise from aircraft flying over at over 7000ft would be around 59 decibels, they compared it with a car having noise level of 64 decibels travelling at 30mph. The Council had decided not to have a special meeting because the final results appear to a forgone conclusion.

(6) Planning Applications:-
(a) No 04/01916A/FUL. Submitted by:- Mr H Borrell “Erection of a detached Garage and Stable Block with Gymnasium and Games room over. (resubmission of application No 04/01005/FUL) at The Paddocks, St Peter’s Road, Arnesby. Objections:- a) Still to big for it’s position next to church. b) Does applicant have right of way over field lane.
c) Field Lane will need to be paved to take increased traffic.

(b) No 04/02009/FUL Submitted by:- Syedur Rahman, “Erection of a steel fire escape staircase and external flue to rear” at Little India, St Peter’s Road, Arnesby. Objections :- a) Proposed Staircase is more for access to first floor flat when restaurant is closed (most of the day) and therefore should be built as a permanent structure in keeping with the rest of the building. building regs. might ask for improved access to flat. b) The external flue, if necessary, should be disguised in keeping with a ‘Conservation area'
(c) No 04/02016/TCA. Submitted by:- M N Bown, “Work to Tree” at Gable End , Mill Hill Road. Arnesby. No Objections.
(d) No 04/02044/LBC Submitted by:- Baptist Chapel, St Peter’s Road, Arnesby. “Internal alterations”. No Objections.

(7) Signing cheques:-.

(8) Complaints were made that the notice of meeting was too short, it was within the rules of 3 clear days but more notice will be given in future. And a consideration that regular dates are set. A request was made to avoid WI meeting nights.
