    Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting
held at The Village Hall, Arnesby on Tuesday 13th June 2006 at 7.30 pm

(1) Present:- Messrs. Robert Jones(Chairman), David Johnson, Stuart Hurst & M. N. Bown (Clerk)
3 parishioners were present.

(2) Apologies:- Apologies were received from Mrs Jenny Lees. The Chair was temporarily taken by Mr Brian Bales who asked for nominations.

(3) Appointment of Chairman:- Robert Jones was re elected unanimously.

(4) Appointment of Vice Chairman:- Mrs Jenny Lees was re elected unanimously.

(5) Minutes of Meeting Held on 25th April 2006. These had been circulated and were read and signed by the Chairman.

(6) Matters Arising:-
(a) David Johnson reported that it would cost £50 to £70 to register The Old Gravel Pit in The name of the Council. He was asked to arrange this.
(b) The Clerk reported that he had not yet received a report from the enforcement officer ref. two properties in the village.

(7) Appointment of Loseby Charity Trustees:-
It was unanimously agreed that Mr Stuart Hurst and Mrs Jenny Lees should be the Council's representatives on the Board of Trustees of The Loseby Charity.

(8) Audit 2005/6. The audit had been completed and audited internally by T Emmony. The papers were inspected and signed to be sent to the official Auditor. It was agreed to re imburse Mr Emmony with a cheque for £10.

(9) Planning Applications:-
(a) No 06/00553/FUL Submitted by :- Mr and Mrs Noble, Bryherstones, 13 The Bank, Arnesby. Erection of extension to side of garage and first floor to provide annex (renewal of 01/00586/FUL). No Objections

(b) No 06/00711FUL Submitted by:-Mr Syedur Rahman, Flat at Little India Restaurant, St Peter's Road, Arnesby.. Construction of Fire Door including roof alteration) No Objections providing it is an escape route to the Fire escape and not to be used as entrance to the flat. It is understood that a fire door should never be locked and can only be used from the inside.

(c) No 06/00720/FUL Submitted by :- Mr and Mrs S Mason, Brookside Farm, Lutterworth Road, Arnesby. 'Erection of Garage ( Revised scheme of 06/00400/FUL) No Objections.

(10) Signing Cheques:-
No 383 Powergen Plc. (Lighting) £155.42.
No 384 Cornhill Insurance £439.93.
No 385 Smiths of Derby (Church Clock) £164.50.
No 386 Natl. Assoc. of Parish and Local Councils. £138.00.
No 387 Rural Community Council £30.00.

(11) To Consider questions from Parishioners for future reply:-
(a) Mr Hurst had been approach by a parishioner who was concerned with the state of the inside of the Bus shelter, saying it was littered with drink cans. Councillors will look into it.
(b) The Chairman was interested in the possibility of the Council being able to write it's own Bye Laws.
