    Minutes of the Parish Council
held at The Conference Centre, Arnesby on Wednesday 19th June 2007 at 8.00 pm

(l) Present:- Messrs. Robert Jones (Chairman), David Johnson, Stuart Hurst, Mrs Jenny Lees (Vice Chairman) & M. N. Bown (Clerk)
3 parishioners were present.

(2) Apologies: No Apologies

(3) Minutes of Meeting Held on 28th March 2007 :- These had been circulated and were read and signed by Councillor David Johnson.

(4) Matters Arising:-
(a) The Clerk report that the 'Old Gravel Pit was now registered in the name of the Parish Council,
(b) The Clerk reported that mere has not been an application from owners of Ruby Cottage asking to retain their disputed entrance. David Johnson is to write to Gareth Jones at HDC re. Enforcement order.

(5) To Pass Accounts for 2006/7:- These were examined and passed and signed by
the Chairman.

(6) To consider complaints of 'Dog Fouling' :- The Chairman said he thought things
had improved but a complaint had been received about 'dog fouling' on grass
alongside the field lane to Shearsby. This grass is cut by a parishioner whose land it
adjoins. The clerk was asked to get names of offenders and write to them.

(7) Possible meet of 'Fernie Hunt' in the Village:- The Council said it was not in their
remit to give permission.

(8) Planning Applications:-
(a) No 07/00525/FUL. Submitted by Lakhbir Sangra, Westfield lodge, Lutterworth Road, Arnesby. ' Single Storey extension to either side of dwelling (revised scheme of 06/01477/FUL). Objections as before
(b) No 07/00690/FUL Submitted by: Millington Gallops Farm Ltd., Gallops Farm, Welford Road, Arnesby. ' Modification to original plan'. no Objections,
(c) No 07/00896/AGR. Submitted by : Mr S Mason, Brookside Farm, Lutterworth road,
Arnesby. 'Erection of General Purpose Building' No Objections as long as it is used
solely for Agriculture (and not for Builders Merchants).

(9) Signing Cheques:-
No 403 ABB Ltd Light Maintenance £50.58.
No 404 Powergen Ltd. Street Lighting £137.14.
No 405 Allianz Cornhill insurance £449.15.
No 406. L&RAPLC. £124.00
No 407 RCC. £24.00.

(10) To reply to and Consider questions from parishioners for future replies,
(a) The Chairman raised the problem of the blockage in the drains and sewers in St Peter's Road caused by discharge of fat etc. from the Restaurant in St Peter's Road. The clerk was asked to write to the proprietors and ask them to install equipment to stop this, as required by law.
(b) The Chairman reported that the Bus Shelter had been damaged on the previous night, by three youths from out of the Village. The clerk was asked to write to the police, and ask John McGuinness to inspect and repair.
