A brief history of the Arnesby Post Office

1895 - 1965: The Grant family, Mr and Mrs Grant and their daughter Mrs Tanner ran the post office until Mrs Tanner retired on her 70th birthday in 1965.

1965 - 1969: Post Office was run by Mrs Pam Hammond.

1969 - 1972: Mr and Mrs Ford took over.

December 1972: Taken over by Mr & Mrs Kelly. Bill and Pam ran the post office and general store for more than eight years until March 1981 when it was no longer viable.

April 1981 to March 2008: Christine Mawby became the last Post Mistress and the office moved to her home Mill House. She was ably supported down the years by Helen Broughton, Ruth Robinson, Pam Kelly, Penny Emmony, Jean Hunt and Ivan.
