of the Annual Parish Meeting held at The Conference Centre on Tuesday 31st May 2005 at 7.30 pm |
(1) Present - Messrs. Robert Jones(Chairman). Stuart Hurst. Mrs Jenny Lees & M. N. Bown (Clerk) 4 parishioners were present. (2) Apologies:- Apologies received from David Johnson and C C Graham Hart. (3) Appointment of Chairman:- Mrs Stella Elliott (Past Chairman) took the chair and asked for nominations. Bob Jones was re elected. (4) Appointment of Vice Chairman:- Mrs Jenny Lees was re elected. (5)Minutes of Meeting Held on 22nd March 2005:- These had been circulated and were read and signed by the Chairman. (6)Matters Arising:- a) The proposed Circular presented by the Clerk was accepted and was passed to be circulated together with details of the new 'dog fouling' regulations, b) The Clerk reported that Paul Williams was unable to work for the next 3 months. Because there is no hurry, it was decided to wait for him to quote for a new 'Notice board' . (7) Appointment of Loseby Charity Trustees:- Mrs Jenny Lees and Stuart Hurst were re elected. They than discussed a proposal to utilise the agricultural land, which is becoming difficult to let and therefore reducing the income of The Trust. The idea is to plant trees and create a pond for the use and recreation of the Village and School, They would hope to obtain grants for a lot of the work. The meeting gave their blessing to the project but asked that secure entrance gates should be provided. (8) Approve Accounts for 2004/5:- The accounts were discussed and approved and the official returns were signed by the Chairman. The accounts were again initially audited by Terry Emmony. (9) Proposed Motor Bike Scramble site at Wistow Hill:- Mrs Lees reported that the owner was applying for Planning Permission to hold public events. The Clerk was asked to write to Shearsby and offer our support when details were published. (10) Consider proposal to join C P R E.:- It was agreed that the Council should contribute to (Council for Protection of Rural England) at a cost of approx. £30. (11) Consider request to plant a tree in Road Verge:- It was agreed that the Clerk should ask permission of Highways to plant a tree on the South/East corner of Oak Lane and Church Lane. 12) Planning Applications:- (a) No 05/00597/FUL Submitted by:- Wheatcroft and Son. "Erection of wall and entrance gates to farm buildings on South side of Lutterworth Road". Objections (b) 05/00605/TCA Submitted by Mrs F Jarvis, Spice Cottage, St. Peter's Road, Arnesby. "Work to Trees" No Objections (c) No 05/0064 /VAC. Submitted by:- C Walton Ltd "Request to vary number of allowed traffic movements into site at Bruntingthorpe" Objections. (13) Signing cheques.
