Arnesby Village Hall Improvement Projects, 2024
Solar Panels and Batteries
Thanks to Harborough District Council and the Florence Turner Trust for the grants that enable us to install solar panels and batteries to the village hall. These will reduce our energy costs.
Our system comprises:
18 *HTB* Longi HiMo6 Explorer 430W All Black Mono solar panels to collect sunlight and turn it into DC electricity.
The panels will be connected to 1 GivEnergy 11kW 3ph Hybrid PV Battery Inverter, which converts the DC electricity into mains (AC) electricity.
A GivEnergy 3.4kWh LiFePO4 High Voltage Stackable Battery storage system will allow us to store excess energy from sunny days, so that we can use generated electricity at night too.
The installation will be carried out by Clever Energy, hopefully in the week beginning 27th May, which is a school holiday.
Clever Energy expect our system to generate 5,184 kWh per year taking into account a number of factors: the number of panels, their orientation from the South, the inclination of the roof and our latitude. As a measure of this output, we use around 8,000 kWk per year.so the savings should be substantial.
We will organise an open day to celebrate the installation to which everyone will be invited.
