May Fayre 2017 - Bank Holiday Monday 29th May
Disappointing weather yet again but the serious rain held off until late afternoon. Around 550 cars used our car park and everyone who attended enjoyed the usual mix of things to see, eat and listen to.
A variety of food was available including BBQs, sandwiches, fancy cakes, cream teas and Ice cream. Cold drinks were available all over the village and there was a licensed bar and a Pimms and Prosecco bar set in a garden.
We had a wide range of stallholders who offered a wide range of quality goods although several were put off by the bad weather. Particularly missed was the bar van but a makeshift bar was added in its place. As usual, Arnesby villagers sold home made cakes, plants, home produce and a Junk and Disorderly stall for items looking for a new home.
The Cross Country race was again popular with nearly 60 adults and 17 juniors taking part. Full results here»
Profit from the event was £5,180 which will be used to support local organisations and amenities. Financial results»
